The leading car manufacturer Tata has been in the news for the past few months for all the wrong reasons. From providing defective vehicles to not listening to customer’s queries on time, the brand, which has built trust in so many years, seems like started losing it slowly. Recently, again, an incident came into the limelight, where a man claimed that he had received an ‘unprepared’ Nexon EV from the authorized showroom.
The victim from West Bengal also shared multiple photos and videos of the defective battery-powered vehicle on Twitter, claiming his hard-earned money went into a soup after purchasing the EV worth Rs 12 lakh.
Here’s What Victim Says
The victim also wrote a big caption for the posts that reads, “A gift from Tata Motors. An underprepared Tiago EV XZPLUS TECHLUX car from Tata Motors. Paid twelve lac rupees to get this luxury car but got a faulty one with major manufacturing defects. Service center spot welded to stop the cranking noise from the car. But all in vein.”

In the shared photos, multiple welding marks can be seen on the window side of the newly purchased car, which somehow raises questions about Tata’s work ethic. The victim also shared the video, where he panned the camera toward the car, showing welding marks on various joints including the B-pillar, inside the cabin, and even on the battery charging socket.
Social Media Reaction
Ever since the post was shared on social media, it received a decent amount of views and reshares in no time. A lot of customers also bombarded the comment section with their opinions. While some called it an accidental vehicle, which was delivered to the victim after repaired, some asked him to take strict action against the brand for scam.
