The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to boost its electric range in India. The company is all set to launch its pure-electric SUV called EQA on July 8. It will be the fourth edition in its portfolio after EQE SUV, EQS and the 7-seater EQB, allowing customers to have wider choices in the EV segment.
Some of the details are under wrap as yet. However, it has been informed it will arrive as the facelift version, which made its official presence last year. The battery-powered SUV will be positioned a step below EQB, and will share a similar size as the ICE model GLA.
Exterior Details
It will come with the EQS-inspired blanked-out front grille, featuring fully LED treatments at both ends, and will be paired with a trending LED light bar, covering the front fascia. The customer will get unique alloy wheels with tweaked bumpers, which will make it look aesthetic in the segment.
Cabin and Features
Talking about the interior, it will feature a similar cabin as the ongoing GLA. The model will be equipped with robust dual 10.25-inch displays, signature style turbine-looking air-conditioning vents, premium ambient light, a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a bumster sound system, and the list goes on.
The other notable features include a wireless charging pad, panoramic sunroof, and electrically adjustable front seat ADAS among others.
International Model
For those who are not aware, the EQA is already available in the international market. It was introduced in four variants – EQA 250 and EQA 250+, which offer a maximum power of 188 BHP and 385 Nm, while EQA 300 4Matic and EQA 350 generate a maximum power of 225 BHP/ 390 Nm peak torque and 288 BHP with maximum torque of 520 Nm respectively.
All the above-mentioned trims have been equipped with a 66.5 kWh battery setup, which offers an impressive range up to 560 km of range (WLTP cycle).
