The home-grown two-wheeler maker Royal Enfield is gearing up to push the product range in India. The report suggested that the brand has 6 bikes on the board to deliver, out of which two will be offered in the 650cc segment.
The company has already filed the trademark for the first one under the nameplate Classic 650 Twin. The second bike under the same platform is likely to be called Interceptor Bear 650. However, RE has not shared any details about these as yet.
Spy Images
The production-ready models have been spied on multiple times during the testing phase in the country, revealing some of the key features and design elements. Going by the leaks, we feel the Classic 650 Twin will feature similar styling cues as 350 counterparts with larger frames.
Design and Style
The spy shots also suggested that the motorcycle would be treated with the RE’s signature style round-shaped headlight setup, covered with a chrome cap. It will also have orange-colored side indicators at both ends, flaunting a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with dual peashooter exhausts and a decent-sized skid at the front.
Rear and Suspension Setup
Moving at the back, it seems like the vehicle will have the same LED round-shaped taillight as the Classic 350. When it comes to the suspension, conventional RSU telescopic front forks are clearly visible, while the rear is complimented by a twin shock setup. There are only a few bikes in RE’s fleet in 650cc that are equipped with USD telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock suspension.
Engine and Power
At the heart, it is expected that both the upcoming models will share the same 648cc, twin-cylinder engine. It will churn out a maximum output of 47 BHP and 52 Nm. The unit will be mated with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
