Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has been witnessing an overwhelming response in the Indian market. The brand has reported an impressive sales numbers last month. Now, the company has unlocked a milestone, celebrating the rollout of the 1.5 millionth four-wheeler from its Chakan plant.
It is the same facility, where the company produced the tech-loaded hatchback Fabia in 2009, followed by VW Vento, Polo, and Škoda Rapid along with new-age models VW Taigun, Virtus, Kushaq, and Slavia.
Achivement
The brand also informed that the Engine Shop at the facility has produced more than 300,000 units of world-class and highly efficient engines for the VW Group. It includes the trusted 1.0-litre TSI powertrain, which is used in Virtus, Taigun, Slavia and Kushaq.
Apart from this, the facility has also produced 3,00,000 units of the India 2.0 car range. The release says it took years to achieve this number.
