Bengaluru Airport: All International Flights To Depart and Arrive at Terminal 2 from Sep 12
Bengaluru International Airport Ltd., MD and CEO said that all the scheduled international will depart from T2. While Terminal 1 will be used for domestic purpose only.

In a move to provide a better and seamless air travel expirence to the future flyers, the Bengaluru airport authorities decided to shift all the international flight operations from T1 to T2, starting from  September 12 at 10:45 am.

As per the details shared by the Kempegowda International Airport, all the passengers who are set to board their international flight on September 12, will have to reach Terminal 2 as all the flights will depart and arrive at T2.

Here’s What Bengaluru Airport Authority Says

While confirming the news, Bengaluru airport says that the decision has been taken after careful evaluation and consideration of various factors, including regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and passenger convenience. The authorities further stated that BLR Airport is committed to ensuring a seamless transition for all passengers, and will be taking all necessary measures to facilitate a smooth relocation of international operations to the new facility in close coordination with its Airline partners.

Renovation at Terminal 1

Amid this, the BLR airport authorities also released the help numbers, allowing the passenger to reach out to the ground staff if they find assistance in the related matter. It also has been reported that once all flight operations shift to Terminal 2, the concerned authorities will start renovating Terminal 1 as it is not in good condition right now.

Bengaluru International Airport Ltd., MD and CEO said that all the scheduled international will depart from T2 only, starting from above mentioned date. While Terminal 1 will be used for domestic flight service only.

Meanwhile, ever since the Bengaluru airport came into force, it has witnessed a sudden spike in the number of flyers in the past few years. Currently, it is considered one of the busiest airports in India, followed by Delhi Airport and Mumbai Airport.
