Aamir Khan's Sitare Zameen Par, Lahore 1947 To Go On Floors From February? Here's What We Know
After Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan will be actively involved in two projects i.e Sitare Zameen Par and Lahore 1947.

After a much deserved break, Aamir Khan is all set to make his comeback with RS Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore: 1947. While the actor will be starring opposite Genelia D’Souza in the former, he would be producing his maiden collaboration in the latter that’ll see Sunny Deol in the lead. A recent report claims that both the projects will commence from February.

As per a source close to the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Aamir Khan has already been preparing for Sitare Zameen Par for the past few months. The source shared, “Aamir has been in the prep mode for Sitaare Zameen Par over the last few months and is all set to take the film on floors from February 2. He has finally zeroed down on his look for the film and has done several reading sessions with the ensemble cast. It’s going to be a marathon schedule for Sitaare Zameen Par and the actor has allotted 70 to 80 working days on the film. With a lot of time invested in pre-production, this would be among the fastest films that Aamir would deliver to the audience.”

The source also spilled some details about Lahore 1947, “Lahore: 1947 is a partition drama by Rajkumar Santoshi with Sunny Deol in the lead. The film goes on floors on February 12, 2024. The set work has already begun in Mumbai to recreate the era gone by. Multiple big sets to recreate India around the partition era are being put up,” the source revealed.

On the personal front, Aamir Khan recently hosted a grand reception in Mumbai after his daughter’s wedding. It was a star-studded affair in Mumbai, with many big personalities marking their attendance. Having taken place at NMACC in Mumbai on Saturday, January 13, stars such as Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, Rekha, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, and more were seen attending the reception to bless Aamir’s daughter and her husband. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan also joined Aamir Khan’s family. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani were also among the attendees.
