Bobby Deol ruled hearts and headlines after he clashed with Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. And now, if a recent report by Pinkvilla is to be believed, Bobby will be facing Alia Bhatt in her upcoming YRF Spy Universe film. Reportedly, Bobby Deol has already signed the yet-to-be-titled film and will be playing the villain in it.
“After Animal, this is yet another author-backed antagonist turn for Bobby Deol. He will be playing the terrifying evil force who takes on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the film. The paperwork is done and Bobby is all excited to start shooting for the film in the second half of 2024,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
The insider further informed that it’s a character tailormade for Bobby which is “full of swag”. “There’s a special look for Bobby in the film,” the source added. However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding Bobby joining Alia’s Spy Universe movie as of now.
Alia Bhatt’s standalone YRF Spy Universe film was confirmed earlier this year when Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it. So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to come in the spy universe. We’re going to see more and more films getting made under it. But, of course, not going to share everything here. We will talk about it at a more opportune time. For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is headlining a spy universe film.”
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will soon also be seen in Jigra, the shooting of which was recently wrapped up. The film also stars Vedang Raina and will be released later this year. Besides this, Alia also has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in her pipeline.
