The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 opening ceremony took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, commonly known as the Chepauk Stadium. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff kicked off the ceremony with their stellar dance performance. They performed to several hit songs like Desi Boys and Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo.
In one of the videos, Akshay Kumar could be coming on stage, full of energy, and grooving to his hit song Desi Boys. In another video, he could be seen riding a bike as Tiger Shroff stood behind him, holding the Tricolour, as Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo played in the stadium.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that their upcoming film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, becomes a hit. The original Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was directed by David Dhawan. It starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in titular roles and was released in 1998. On the other hand, the new Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was announced in February 2023. Helmed by the celebrated director Ali Abbas Zafar and backed by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films, the film promises to be the biggest blockbuster of 2024.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The film is set to be released in theatres this year on Eid.
Besides Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam also performed at the ceremony. The first match will be held between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
