Yami Gautam and Priyamani-starrer Article 370 will be released on the big screens on February 23. Aditya Suhas Jambhale has directed this film. Priyamani recently opened up to IANS about working on Article 370. She said that Article 370 is a beautifully nuanced film and it was not just about portraying a character. It was, on the other hand, playing a strong, resilient female character. She added, “My character has many layers and it gave me an opportunity to showcase the strength and determination of women in positions of power.” She also said that the film is an eye-opening exploration of an untold story. According to her, it reveals the remarkable journey of individuals who played crucial roles in shaping our nation’s history. Priyamani plays the role of Rajeshwari Swaminathan in this film.
The teaser of Article 370 has amped up the fervour around this film. The teaser opens with Jammu and Kashmir’s protest against terrorism. Yami plays the role of an Intelligence officer named Zooni Haksar, who is trying to maintain law and order. The actress is seen depicting a fierce avatar. Article 370, a political drama revolves around special status given to Jammu and Kashmir. Sharing the teaser, Yami wrote, “Ek Desh Ek Samvidhan #Article370 Teaser out now. Releasing in Cinemas on 23rd Feb.”

Fans appreciated the teaser and one of them wrote, “Hard topic Indians need to know about article 370.” Another wrote that this plot would be amazing to watch on the screen. Article 370 was a key provision in the Indian Constitution. It granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir. In its verdict, the Supreme Court also upheld its abrogation. The decision to nullify this provision received immense criticism for compromising the principles of federalism and democratic norms. Many wrote that this decision undermined the ideals enshrined in the Indian constitution.
