Suniel Shetty Sends Love As His ‘Bachchas’ Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul Celebrate 1st Wedding Anniversary; Photo

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today. The lovebirds tied the knot last year in an intimate ceremony at Athiya’s dad, Suniel Shetty’s, Khandala bungalow. Now, the proud father shared a happy photo of the couple and penned a heartwarming note for their special day.

Sharing the photo on his Instagram handle, Suniel wrote, ‘Happy first anniversary, bachchas ‘.’ While fans flooded the comments section to gush over the adorable couple, Athiya too acknowledged the wish and wrote, ‘Loyou,ypapa.’.’

Earlier in the day, Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty shared an unseen photo from their wedding and wrote, “How time flies! Happy 1 year anniversary .”

Time and again, Suniel Shetty has always admired his son-in-law, Rahul. Earlier in an interview with ANI, he opened up about how he feels when he is subjected to nasty trolling on social media. Right after Team India lost the ICC World Cup 2023 final to Australia, the Indian wicketkeeper received online criticism for not fielding well on the day of the final match.

He recalled how KL would often ask him to stop reacting to all the negativity that came their way by saying, ‘Dad, my bat will talk.’ “The faith of the people in him, the selectors, the faith of the captain—it said it all. It hurts me 100 times more than it would hurt Rahul or Athiya,” Suniel said.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty made their relationship official on Instagram in 2020. Ever since, the couple has been sharing mushy posts on social media and has put their online PDA on full display. Athiya and Rahul reportedly met through a mutual friend. They became close friends, and their friendship soon turned into romance, and the couple is now preparing to tie the knot.
