As of December 24, a total of 13 bank holidays have been observed in India. Below is the list of the remaining bank holidays in India;
- December 25, 2023– There will be a holiday for banks across the country due to Christmas.
- December 26, 2023– Due to Christmas celebrations, banks will not open in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya.
- December 27, 2023– Bank holiday in Nagaland due to Christmas.
- December 30, 2023– Banks will not open in Meghalaya given U Kiang Nangbah.
- December 31, 2023– There will be a bank holiday due to Sunday.
The RBI classifies holidays into three categories: Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
