Gold Price on March 4: Rates Fall in Metro Cities; Silver on Rise
The cost of one gram of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 4,437 after seeing a decline of Rs 5 from the earlier rate of Rs 4,442.

The gold price on Thursday, March 4 witnessed a marginal fall while that of the silver is on a hike. The cost of one gram of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 4,437 after seeing a decline of Rs 5 from the earlier rate of Rs 4,442. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 44,370 after witnessing a fall of Rs 50 from Rs 44,420. According to Good Returns, the rate of 24-carat gold also declined following the market trend as for 10 grams, the price is Rs 45,370, falling by Rs 50 from the previous rate of Rs 45,420.

The rate of metal also changes in different cities of the country following the national trend. Know the price of here:

Delhi: In the national capital, the price of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 44,600 per 10 grams. Whereas for buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold one will have to pay Rs 48,650.

Chennai: For 22-carat gold, you will have to pay Rs 42,640 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold Rs 46,520.

Kolkata: The cost of 22-carat gold is Rs 44,910 in the city while it is Rs 47,610 for 24-carat gold.

Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 44,370, while you will have to pay Rs 45,370 for 24-carat gold.

International Price of Gold

In the international market, the rate of gold increased by 0.07 percent to USD 1,711.90 per ounce on Thursday. However, in the last 30 days, the performance of gold has declined by 8.02 percent which is equivalent to USD 149.30.

Silver Prices

Compared to the cost of the metal on the previous day,silver price has witnessed a marginal increase of Rs 13 as the rate stood at Rs 679 per 10 grams from Rs 666.

Silver Rates in Metro Cities

You will have to pay Rs 67,900 for buying silver ornaments or jewellery in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata as the rate of one kilogram of the metal is the same in these cities. Whereas, in Chennai and Hyderabad you need to pay more that is Rs 72,800 for the same quantity of metal.
