Mumbai: The markets are trading flat with moderate gain. Auto, con durable, cap goods, oil and gas are trading weak. IT and banking stocks are trading strong.
At 1145 hours IST, the Sensex is up 21.56 points or 0.17 per cent at 12,959.65 and the Nifty up 7.25 points or 0.19 per cent at 3752.55. About 693 shares have advanced, 1,493 shares declined and 58 shares are unchanged.
Top gainers on the Sensex are Satyam at Rs 430.30 up 4.32 per cent, HDFC Bank at Rs 963 up 3.26 per cent and Wipro at Rs 579.05 up 3.25 per cent.
Top losers on the Sensex are Guj Ambuja Cem at Rs 108.50 down 6.43 per cent, Grasim at Rs 2,110 down 4.64 per cent and Dr Reddys Labs at Rs 650 down 4.02 per cent.
Top gainers on the Nifty are Satyam at Rs 434.25 up 4.79 per cent, Wipro at Rs 583 up 3.66 per cent and HDFC Bank at Rs 968.50 up 3.58 per cent.
Top losers on the Nifty are Guj Ambuja Cem at Rs 108.95 down 5.92 per cent, Zee Entertain at Rs 224.80 down 5.68 per cent and Grasim at Rs 2,119.50 down 4.2 per cent.
Index heavyweight Hindustan Lever was trading at Rs 174.40 down 0.99 per cent from its previous close of Rs 176.15.
Index heavyweight Reliance was trading at Rs 1,336 down 1.37 per cent from its previous close of Rs 1,354.60.
Tech major Infosys was trading at Rs 2,100 up 1.04 per cent from its previous close of Rs 2,078.35.
Cigarette major ITC was trading at Rs 172.55 up 0.41 per cent from its previous close of Rs 171.85.
Refinery major HPCL was trading at Rs 273.75 up 1.09 per cent from its previous close of Rs 270.80.
