Sivakarthikeyan Confirms His Next Film With AR Murugadoss On Director's 49th Birthday

Indian actor and singer Sivakarthikeyan is one of the most popular faces in the Tamil film industry. He has left an indelible mark on the audience through his performance and enjoys a massive fan following. For a long time, there has been news that Sivakarthikeyan and popular director AR Murugadoss are coming up with a film.

On Monday, i.e., September 25, it was confirmed by the director and the actor that they will be collaborating on a film tentatively titled SK23. The news was made public by the actor on X (formerly Twitter) on AR Murugadoss’ 49th birthday.

Sivakarthikeyan took to Twitter to wish the director well and broke the news of his upcoming film with him. He tweeted, “Dear @ARMurugadoss sir, I wish you a very happy birthday, sir. Sir, I’m extremely delighted to join you for my 23rd film, and I’m doubly delighted after listening to your narration. This film is going to be very special for me in all aspects, and I can’t wait to start.” The film would be his 23rd film and his fans had been eagerly waiting for his collaboration with AR Murugadoss.

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in the psychological superhero film Maveeran, which was directed by Madonne Ashwin. The film starred Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sunil, Balaji Sakthivel and other actors in pivotal roles. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi was seen as the narrator for the film as well. The project was a hit at the box office, receiving positive reviews from both critics and the audience.

The Velaikkaran actor will next be seen in the science fiction film Ayalaan, which is set to release during Pongal/Sankranti in 2024. The film is directed by R Ravikumar and has Rakul Preet Singh, Yogi Babu and Sharad Kelkar in important roles. One of the main highlights of the project is that AR Rahman will be providing the music for the film.

On the other hand, AR Murugadoss was on a three-year hiatus and will be back in action after his last film, Darbar, starring superstar Rajinikanth, failed to leave an impact on the audience.
