In the first innings of the Indore Test, Rahane came up with a solid knock of 188 against the Kiwis. Having faced 381 deliveries, Rahane hit 18 boundaries and four sixes in the first innings. The hosts had eventually gone on to win the Test by a resounding margin of 321 runs.
2. 111 vs Sri LankaIn ODIs, Ajinkya Rahane scripted his highest score against Sri Lanka in November 2014. Playing at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Rahane came up with a solid knock of 111 off 108 balls. His sublime batting guided India to a mammoth total of 363/5. India had won that match by 169 runs.
3. 105 vs Delhi CapitalsIn the Indian Premier League (IPL), Ajinkya Rahane achieved his highest score of 105 (unbeaten) against Delhi Capitals in April 2019. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Rahane faced 65 deliveries to score 105. The century, however, went in vain as the Delhi-based franchise won that contest by six wickets.
4. 112 vs AustraliaAjinkya Rahane had produced one of the finest knocks of his Test career against Australia back in December 2020. Playing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rahane, who was captaining India in that Test, came up with a valiant knock of 112 in the first innings. India had clinched that match by a comfortable margin of eight wickets.
5. 103 vs EnglandHe produced another epic century against England at the iconic Lord’s in July 2014. In the first innings of that iconic Test, Rahane had scored a fantastic century as India posted a formidable total of 295. Rahane was dismissed for 103 in the first innings of that Test. Chasing a challenging target of 319, the hosts fell short by 95 runs.
