How to Claim Refund for IPL 2024 GT vs KKR Washout Match

The Gujarat Titans’ final home game of the IPL 2024 season could not be played due to inclement weather which forced the abandonment of their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday and all valid ticket holders for the GT vs KKR match are eligible for a refund, GT announced via their social media handles.

“Gujarat Titans thanks all the fans who came to the Narendra Modi Stadium to watch GT vs KKR. Unfortunately, the match was called off due to rain. All valid ticket holders will receive a refund,” GT’s social media post read.

After the washout, GT captain, Shubman Gill, and the entire squad completed a lap of honour to thank the fans. The team management also expressed their appreciation with a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the skies.

“It has been incredibly heart-warming to witness the unwavering support of the Titans FAM through this season,” said Colonel Arvinder Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Gujarat Titans. “We are deeply disappointed that we were forced to abandon the final home game due to weather conditions. As announced on the big screen once the game was called off, we will be issuing full refunds to all ticket-holders.”

Gujarat Titans Eliminated from IPL 2024 Playoff Race

After splitting the points with KKR, the Gujarat Titans’ chances of qualifying for the IPL playoff have ended. This is the first time since the team’s inception in 2022 that they have failed to make the top four. In 2022, under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, they topped the table and went on to win their first title in their maiden edition and the following year they made the final, losing to CSK at Ahmedabad.

GT are left with one more match and will aim to end their maiden campaign under Shubman Gill on a high. They will play IPL 2024 playoff hopefuls Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium on May 16.
