Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill’s unblemished unbeaten half-century was overshadowed by uncapped Shashank Singh’s fiery knock as Punjab Kings (PBKS) beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by 3 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
Gill made 89 off 48 balls, the highest individual score this season so far, and in the process hit six fours and four maximums to guide GT to an imposing 199 for four.

Shubman and Sudharsan Enter Top-5
Shubman Gill smashed 89 off 48 balls, the highest individual score this season so far, and in the process hit six fours and four maximums. It was also his first half-century as GT captain. He was well supported by B Sai Sudharsan’s 19-ball 33 as the pair of Gill and Sudarshan also shared a 53-run stand for the third wicket. Gill is fourth, while Sudharsan is fifth.
RCB batter Virat Kohli continues to lead the table with 203 runs, followed by Riyan Parag who is second with 181 runs. Heinrich Klaasen is holding the third spot with 167 runs in 3 games.
PBKS Overtake GT
Punjab Kings overtook Gujarat Titans to climb up to fifth on the points table. PBKS have an NRR of -0.220 as compared to GT’s -0.580.
