He was in time to get behind the line, sending the ball past wide long-on. The 37-year-old flexed his biceps in the second delivery. He hit the ball over long-off for another biggie. A third straight maximum followed as Pollard sent the ball flying over Rashid Khan’s head to make the Trent Rockets pay with a third six.
The 84th delivery of the chase saw Kieron Pollard smash another Rashid Khan delivery into the stands. He backed away at leg-side to smash the ball over deep midwicket. Pollard ended his show by floating up a fuller outside off-right into his batting arc. In a rather effortless strike, the Caribbean icon took the aerial route once again to dispatch the ball out of the park over long-off. The fifth six led to the crowd present at the stadium going berserk.
Kieron Pollard’s stand made all the difference in the game as Southern Brave completed an unbelievable comeback to win the match by two wickets, with a ball remaining.
