Amid this, IFS Vidushi Singh’s success story is garnering everyone’s attention because of her connection to Ayodhya. During her journey towards becoming an IFS officer, Ayodhya played an important role in her life. UPSC is one of the toughest exams in the world. It is not easy to pass the exam. Vidushi Singh was successful in this on her very first attempt at the age of 21. She was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, but her familial roots are linked to Ayodhya. According to reports, after cracking the written exam, Vidushi was qualified for the interview round. She was asked questions related to Ayodhya.
Vidushi started preparing for the UPSC exam, after completing her graduation in 2020. She graduated from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, in 2021 with BA Honors (Economics). She did not take advantage of any coaching to prepare for the UPSC exam. Along with studying in college, she had been preparing for a government job herself.
Vidushi Singh had secured the 13th rank in the UPSC exam. She had scored 1039 marks in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam. Whereas, 184 marks were obtained in the interview round. She had kept economics as an optional subject.
Vidushi chose IFS instead of IAS, despite having an excellent rank. She said it was her grandparents’ dream to become a government officer in the Indian Foreign Service.
Her interview has been featured in many media reports in which she is narrating her success. She said that to achieve success in the UPSC exam, she had attempted many test series and mock tests. Self-study is the main key; she did not take any help from coaching classes.
