NCERT Recruitment 2024: Know Eligibility, Salary, Vacancies And More

The National Council for Training and Research in Education (NCERT) was founded in 1961. It is an independent body that provides policy and program advice to the federal and state governments about education. In addition, it organises teachers’ pre-service and in-service training, creates and shares instructional strategies, and works with state education agencies, colleges, non-profit organisations, and other educational establishments. Now, it has been found that NCERT is looking for qualified and deserving candidates for the positions of assistant editors, proofreaders, and DTP operators, purely on a contract basis. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the office of NCERT in Delhi on February 1 from 10 am to 3 pm.

According to the notification issued by NCERT, there are 60 vacancies for assistant editors, where 25 are for English, 10 for Hindi, and 10 for Urdu. There are around another 60 posts for proofreaders. Among these, 25 are for English, 25 for Hindi, and 10 for Urdu. There are 50 vacancies for DTP operators – 20 are for English, 20 for Hindi, and 10 for Urdu.

NCERT Recruitment 2023: Eligibility by Posts

Assistant Editor: In addition to a degree, a postgraduate diploma in book publishing, journalism, or communication is required for this position. Additionally, at least five years of relevant job experience are required. The maximum age for the candidate should be 50 years.

Proof Reader: For the post of proof reader, one year of experience is also necessary in addition to being a graduate in English, Hindi, or Urdu. The maximum age to apply for this post is 42 years old.

DTP Operator: Candidates interested in the post of DTP Operator must be graduates with a DTP diploma or certificate valid for one year. Additionally, a minimum of three years of relevant work experience is also needed to apply for the job.

NCERT Recruitment 2024: Salaries

For the post of assistant editor, the salary that will be paid is Rs 80,000. For the post of proofreader, the salary will be Rs 37,000, and for the post of DTP operator, the selected candidate will be paid Rs 50,000.
