The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 application form was released by NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research) on April 3. The application form was released on their official website nestexam.in. The last day for form submission is May 31, 2024. The application form was jointly released today by NISER, Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences. The NEST exam is scheduled to take place on June 30, by the respective mentioned institutions. The entrance exam carries a total of 150 marks.

NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have passed their class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent. While the candidates belonging to the SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) categories are required to have at least 55 per cent aggregate.
NEST 2024: How to Apply
Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for NEST 2024 entrance examination:
Step 1: Go to the official website nestexam.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, select the “application form” link.
Step 3: Now, the candidate has to register by providing their personal information.
Step 4: When the registration is complete, the candidates are required to enter all their personal details, as well as their academic details on the application form.
Step 5: To complete the process of registration, the candidates have to pay the necessary fee.
Step 6: The application form can now be downloaded for future reference.
NEST 2024: Application Fee
–– For general and OBC (Other Backward Class) candidates: Rs 1,400
–– For female, Divyangjan and SC/ST candidates: Rs 700
The National Entrance Screening Test 2024 examination is set to take place in 120 cities across the country. A NEST paper contains 68 objective type questions, carrying 150 marks in total. A candidate has to appear for the examination for a duration of 3 hours and it is divided into four parts: Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
