The Staff Selection Commission has announced the exam dates for the SSC Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) 2024 exam. According to the official release, the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 26. Candidates taking the exam can check the dates on the official website, ssc.gov.in. The recruitment drive for this year’s SSC CGL exam aims to fill a total 17,727 positions in the department.
The official notice reads “The Commission has decided to conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024(Tier-I) from 09-Sep-2024 to 26-Sep-2024. 2. The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals for further updates.”
SSC CGL 2024: Correction Window
Apart from the exam dates, the Commission has also released the notification of the correction window. Candidates can modify their application form by August 11. The official announcement states “Window for Application Form Correction will be available from 10-08-2024 (00:01 Hours) to 11-08-2024 (23:00 Hours). In case, any correction/ change is required to be made in the already filled application form, the candidates may utilize the ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ for the same.” The SSC has also informed that requests for any change or correction in the application form via email, post or by hand will not be entertained and lead to rejection of the application.
SSC CGL 2024 : Selection Process
A variety of ministries, divisions and organisations under the Government of India, along with numerous constitutional, statutory bodies and tribunals, will assign shortlisted candidates to Group B and Group C positions. Candidates will be chosen for these positions as per the guidelines outlined in the exam notice.
For unreserved applicants, the minimum qualifying marks for the exam are 25%, for OBC and EWS students, it is 25% and for all other categories, it is 20%. As per minimum qualifying standards, the percentage is 20% for unreserved candidates, 25% for OBC and EWS candidates and 30% for all other categories. After a two-tier computer-based exam (CBE), candidates will be chosen via a document verification phase. The SSC previously stated that following the announcement of the final results, the commission will verify the documents.
SSC CGL 2024: Exam Schedule
The Staff Selection Commission ended the SSC CGL Tier 1 registration process on July 27. Additionally, the SSC CGL admit card will reportedly be released by the commission during the first week of September 2024.
The SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2024 may be provisionally revealed in October. November/December 2024 is the tentative date for SSC CGL Tier 2. Tier 2 will be available to students who pass the Tier 1 exam.
