The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) commenced the online application process for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II) 2024, today, May 15. Candidates can apply for the UPSC CDS II 2024 exam by visiting the official website at upsc.gov.in. As per the official notification, the last date to apply is June 4, 2024 (up to 6.00 PM). Once the registration process concludes, the application correction or edit facility will be open from June 5 to 11.
According to the notification, the UPSC CDS II exam 2024 has posted 459 vacancies for the Indian Military Academy Dehradun, Air Force Academy Hyderabad, Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, OTA Chennai and others.
This year, the UPSC CDS II exam will be conducted on September 1. Those who successfully register for the test will be issued an e-Admit Card days before the exam. Meanwhile, the courses will begin in July 2025.

UPSC CDS II 2024 Exam: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to UPSC’s official website at https://upsc.gov.in/.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for the “Examination” section and click on the “Active Examinations” link. Following that click on the “Online Application For UPSC CDS II Exam” link to register.
Step 3: As a new window opens, look for the option “Part-1” which will be next to Combined Defence Examination (II) 2024, and click on it.
Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and click on “Yes” to proceed.
Step 5: Then start entering all your details correctly.
Step 6: Remember to select the preferences regarding the exam and proceed to ‘Part II’ of the form-filling process.
Step 7: Pay the application fee online and select your desired examination centre from the list.
Step 8: To complete the process, upload all the scanned documents as required.
Step 9: Check all the details mentioned in the form and click on ‘Submit’.
UPSC CDS II 2024 Exam: Application Fee
Candidates must pay a fee of Rs 200 at the time of application. While female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
