New Delhi: There is mixed news on the injury front for the Gunners. Arsenal will be without the services of defender Johan Djourou for the second leg of their Champions League tie with Villarreal on Wednesday night.
The tie is currently poised at 1-1, giving the Gunners the advantage on away goals ahead of Wednesday's home leg at the Emirates Stadium.
He will be joined on the sidelines by left-back Gael Clichy, centre-half William Gallas, and goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.
"Yes, both Djourou and Clichy are unfortunately out," Wenger confirmed to reporters at his pre-match press conference.
"Djourou has a knee problem. He will have a scan today but we fear a cartilage. Clichy on what we saw after the game in Villarreal, he has a back problem. But Diaby is in the squad," he said.
Meanwhile, the Frenchman also believes that his team possess all the necessary resolution and fortitude to remain unbeaten until the end of the season, and taste glory in the Champions League and FA Cup.
"We will try," he added. "I believe the determination, the hunger and the quality is there and we face now test after test. What makes me confident is that recently, in every single game, when the odds were against us we found the resources within the team with a strong response every single time. That happened at Villarreal, that happened again at Wigan and every time we came out strong," he added.
