Alcaraz’s love for the game of football was on full display as he was seen taking part in a holiday match at the Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy in Spain. Wearing the iconic shirt number of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp, Alcaraz earned a win in the traditional Christmas football game.

Flavio, a former AS Roma footballer, is understood to have netted the match-winning goal.

Alcaraz was only three when Bergkamp’s glorious stint with Arsenal came to an end.

Bergkamp left Arsenal in 2006 having secured three Premier League titles and four FA Cup triumphs.

Pictures of Alcaraz wearing the iconic Arsenal jersey have gone viral.

“Your guy is a Gunner,” wrote one person on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

“Finally have a reason to support this guy,” commented another social media user.

“Carlos the Gunner. I love it,” read a comment.

Alcaraz faced American tennis player Tommy Paul in an exhibition match at Plaza de toros Mexico located in Mexico City.

“I will take a picture to never forget this. It has been a very special event, the truth is that I can only thank you for supporting tennis and me,” Alcaraz was quoted as saying after the match.

At the age of 19, Alcaraz had claimed the men’s title at the US Open last year outclassing Casper Ruud which was also his maiden Grand Slam title.

In 2023, Alcaraz earned his first-ever Wimbledon title defeating Djokovic in the final.

He clinched an epic 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 victory to win the title.

With this, Alcaraz became the third-youngest Wimbledon champion in the Open Era which started back in 1968.
