“It’s a new age for the universe," in the explosive trailer of Zack Snyder’s upcoming space film Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. Actress Sofia Boutella plays the lead protagonist indulging in tons of high-octane action sequences in the first glimpse. Be it hand-to-hand combats or gun fights, she can be seen doing it all, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Set in an alternate universe, the main antagonist Recent Balisarius is played by Fra Few, a tyrannical ruler of the Mother World. The trailer introduces Sofia Boutella as Kora, a stranger with a mysterious past who seeks refuge from the farmers on the moon of Veldt. Things appear to run smoothly until an alien spaceship enters their settlement.
Kora instinctively knows the invaders bring nothing but trouble. “We are just farmers, we are not a threat," Michiel Huisman’s Gunnar tells a supreme leader of the Mother World. What follows is a bloodbath, torture, and explosion on the moon of Vledt. Looking at the havoc, Sofia takes matters into her own hands by single-handedly wiping out the invaders. “We’re gonna have to fight," Kora warns the farmers about the impending danger.
As a dangerous war breaks out in the background Kora fiercely declares, “I’m a child of a war." Soon after she is seen banding warriors together to fight against the corrupt government. She travels across the universe making offers to strong fighters by giving them a chance at redemption and revenge. “This isn’t just a pursuit of revolution," says Kora before she is branded as the most wanted fugitive in the known universe. A space clash plays out in the background when the trailer teases, “There are no heroes only rebels" in this Zack Snyder’s film.
What’s left behind is only destruction and explosion between Kora’s recruited soldiers and the army of the Mother World. Only time can tell who will win the epic fight but if the trailer is anything to go by, it promises to give viewers a power-packed story.
