Making a Grip with Cardboard Rolls
Get a toilet paper roll and an aluminum foil roll. The toilet paper roll is larger, so it will fit over the base of the launcher. The aluminum foil rolls are thicker and will add some strength to the grip.
Cut the aluminum foil roll in half. You will not need a grip that is the length of the entire cardboard roll. The half you use should be at least a little longer than the roll of toilet paper.
Tape the aluminum foil roll on the inside of the toilet paper roll. Leave a little of the of the toilet paper roll sticking out on one end so that the launcher can fit inside.
Put the launcher in the toilet paper roll. Place the launcher so the holes are on top of the of the cardboard rolls. The launcher should rest on the aluminum foil roll inside.
Tape the launcher to the top of the toilet paper roll. Wrap the tape around sideways around the Beyblade launcher. Just be sure you allow room to use the ripcord.A good strong tape will work best. Duct tape or electrical tape is ideal. They also give your launcher a nice appearance.
Decorate your new grip. Once you are satisfied with the performance of the grip, you can give it the look you want. You can wrap it in aluminum foil or decorate it with stickers.
Making a Grip with Pencils
Bundle the three pencils together in a triangular pattern. The pencils can be sharpened or unsharpened. Just make sure the pencils are approximately the same length. Line the pencils up vertically. Make a triangular pattern by setting two of the pencils lined up in a row, and one pencil lined up in the middle of the other two pencils.
Tape each end to hold the pencils together. Simple scotch tape or masking tape will work fine. Wrap a small piece of tape around the erasers, and another small piece around all the tips. This will help hold the pencils together. You don’t want them sliding out of position while you wrap them together.
Wrap tape around the pencils from the erasers to the tips. You will want to switch to a stronger tape. Electrical tape or duct tape is ideal. Start wrapping around one end, then roll the tape around to the other end. You can make two or three layers if you want a little more cushion to your grip.
Place the wrapped pencils on the back of the Beyblade launcher. They should rest over the lower half of the launcher on the backside. The pencils should be away from any of the moving pieces of the launcher.
Tape the pencils to the back of launcher. Place the pencils so they about an inch or two rests on the bottom portion of the launcher. Wrap the tape around the sides and crossing over the pencils vertically until the launcher feels secure. Be sure the tape does not interfere with the movement of the ripcord.
Test your grip. Try launching a couple of Beyblades and make sure the grip seems to be stable enough. If you can feel the launcher moving at all you may need to add another layer of tape. Once you’re satisfied with the grip, add some decorations or stickers to finish it off.
