Roja Selvamani is an actress-turned-politician who, at one point in time, left everyone enthralled with her beauty and acting chops. She was also one of the lead actresses in the Telugu and Tamil film industries from 1991 to 2002. After her successful stint as a lead heroine, she is now a prominent figure in the political arena and currently holds a position in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. She is serving as Minister for Tourism, Culture and Youth Advancement of Andhra Pradesh.
While her career transition from the silver screen to politics has been drastic, it looks like her daughter too is all set to join the entertainment industry. Roja and RK Selvamani’s daughter, Anshumalika has been grabbing the headlines as rumours of her making a debut in the Telugu cinema.
As per the recent buzz, Anshumalika may be starring opposite Dhruv Vikram. However, her father Selvamani has denied the news by calling it a rumour. He said, “If she wants to come back and act, then a decision will be taken about it.”
The 20-year-old shares her mother’s beauty which is quite evident from all the snaps she posts of herself on Instagram. Just a few weeks back, she enrolled in the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering in Indiana, US. Now, recently, she shared a small snippet of a day at her university.
Anshumalika can be seen wearing a bright yellow buttoned-down shirt and paired it with ripped denim jeans and opted for a casual yet chic look. She showed a few glimpses of students gathered around clicking photos, making cards and writing letters and notes to send back home. The caption reads, “Good morning y’all, here’s another short snippet from my day!”
It is to be noted that Anshumalika is an accomplished web developer and content creator. She is also known to be a great writer and earned recognition for her book titled The Flame In My Heart as she was awarded the Best Author from South India by Zee Town Magazine. Apart from books and coding, she is also involved in social services. She is part of the Cheers Foundation and sponsors the education of five underprivileged children from Hyderabad
