22-year-old Dalit youth stabbed to death in UP

Bijnor: A 22-year-old Dalit youth was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend's parents when he had gone to meet her at her residence in Khandsal village of the district, police said Wednesday.

Sanjeev went to meet his girlfriend last night, but her relatives caught hold of him, they said.

According to police, Sanjeev was first beaten up with sticks and then stabbed to death by the girl's family, all of whom are absconding.

The youth's body has been recovered from the girl's house, they said, adding that the matter is being probed.
