3D is the latest trend in Malayalam cinema
Mammootty, Prithviraj and Nayanthara team will have their first 3D in 'Arival Chuttika Nakshathram'.

The year, 2012 is particularly special for Mollywood, which has seen some major changes in its film's narrative, production, cast and crew. Even the exhibiting theatres and distributors are ready to embrace those inevitable changes by equipping the release centers with modern facilities. And when all are getting ready to witness visual ecstasies on the screen, half a dozen projects are getting ready to be in theatres in 3D projection systems.

The Mollywood industry will have another few films to follow the type.

Mammootty-Prithviraj-Nayanthara team will have their first 3D in 'Arival Chuttika Nakshathram', which is directed by Amal Neerad. The other movie to be made in 3D soon is the debut directorial venture of famous cameraman Ramachandra Babu, titled as 'Manthrika Thakol'. Dileep who will appear as a magician in the film. Incidentally, Ramachandra Babu was also the cinematographer of the first Cinemascope film 'Thacholi Ambu'and the first 70mm film, 'Padayottam'.

Two new horror films that will soon be in theatres in 3D are Vinayan's 'Dracula 2012' and 'Raktharakshassu' to be presented by a group of fresh technicians. The shoot for both these movies are almost over.
