421 acres of marsh land to Forest department

CHENNAI: Heeding A long-pending request of the Forest department, the Corporation has planned to hand over its 421 acres on the southern side of Pallikaranai marsh to the former for better ecological management.Civic body sources said the particular land has been already in the custody of the Forest department for maintenance. With the new plan, civic body, which is the owner of the, has planned to transfer the holding rights to the Forest department for better upkeep soon.
