Kappa is a collective of musicians who continually shuffle around various Kappa performances. The band will be performing a lot of classic rock/blues/funk improvised and re-invented in their own style.The band members are a number of well known musicians, who play in their own respective bands, as well as constantly shuffle around various performances, a crazy mix of some of India and Europe’s best jazz, rock, funk, blues musicians. They will play tracks from famous bands such as The Doors, the Rolling Stones, Sting and the Police, U2 and lots more. Scherezaad Panthaki , the lead vocalist) is one of the most well known, powerful female vocalists in Bombay city. In spite of no formal training at all, she is a natural born talent.Yvan Le Gall (guitarist/arranger/ composer) is a professional guitarist since 1993. He has been playing in various bands from rock to jazz-rock. Also, he has had several studio sessions and duet gigs with musicians from Pays de la Loire, France where he hails from. Debashish Banerji (drums/ percussion/vocals) is a drummer, composer, singer and producer from Kolkata, India, Debu have been involved with music for over 20 years.A self taught musician, his proficiency lies in jazz fusion and a bit of Indian Classical music.His career as a drummer began in 1986/87 during his high school days and since then he has had the opportunity to perform with various local bands and international artists. Jahangir Pandey(bass), a serious law student is also a musician and plays the bass guitar. He is self taught and much grounded, Jahangir a k a Jango, has been playing for the past six years.Pranav Dongre(keyboard) is a passionate musician and has been playing the keyboard and piano for the past sixteen years experience, who works with a variety of local Indian bands.
