Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Sunday claimed a 'deal' has conspired between Robert Vadra and BJP in Rajasthan, just after the saffron party released a video and booklet on an alleged land scam involving Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law.
"You (BJP) run the Rajasthan government, but not a single FIR has been lodged during the last five months. I mean there is a deal between Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Robert Vadra. There is a deal between BJP and Vadra," Singh told reporters in Rajasthan on Sunday.
"Since five months you (BJP) have been running a government in Rajasthan. We said a year ago that Robert Vadra had illegally acquired thousands of acres of land in Rajasthan," said Singh, who is on a one-day poll campaign for AAP candidates in Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West and Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Earlier in the evening, the BJP had alleged that the 'Vadra model of development' became successful due to the patronage provided by the Gandhi family to Robert Vadra.
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "There is gross violation of laws relating to land and environment. The influence of the family helped Vadra make big earnings in deals".
The six-page booklet titled 'Damad (son-in-law) Shree' refers to Vadra's alleged land deals in Rajasthan and Haryana.
The nearly eight-minute documentary seeks to show how Vadra was allegedly helped in his business deals by the Gandhi family using their clout.
