Accused arrested in 2 murder cases

BANGALORE: Madivala police cracked two murder cases and arrested the accused. Mohammad Saleem alias Saleem (22) of Bihar was arrested for allegedly stabbing his uncle to death.According to the police, Samshad Ansari, a construction supervisor, was stabbed to death last Monday night. The victim, also a native of Bihar, had brought some labourers to the city about seven months back and was undertaking construction work. In the meantime, the accused, who was the victim’s nephew  allegedly took the labourers with him for other construction work without bringing it to the notice of Ansari. The duo quarrelled over the issue and on Monday night Saleem allegedly stabbed Ansari to death.The accused has been remanded in judicial custody.In the other case, Ananda Kumar alias Ananda (44), an astrologer, was arrested for allegedly killing his wife Bharathi at their residence in Garvebavipalya on September 15.According to the police, the family from Belur taluk of Hassan district had come to the city about two years ago. The accused an astrologer  but unemployed for a few years, was addicted to alcohol. Ananda Kumar allegedly harassed his wife and children and asked them for money to buy liquor. On September 15, when their children, Pradeep and Divya, had gone out for work he came home and murdered his wife by hitting her with a blunt weapon. Based on the complaint filed by his son Pradeep, the accused was arrested.
