Ambati complains against news channel

HYDERABAD: YSR Congress leader Ambati Rambabu and the party's women wing leaders lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police seeking action against a vernacular TV news channel management for airing false and fabricated stories about Rambabu.
Inspector M Sudarshan said that Ambati and a few women activists came to the police station and lodged a complaint against the TV channel management stating that it deliberately was airing false news stories about Rambabu's sexual harassment of women. Saying the news bulletins were damaging his image, Rambabu sought immediate action against the channel management. "We received the complaint and will examine the case,'' Sudarshan said. Meanwhile, TDP women leaders on Friday submitted a memorandum to the additional DGP to take action against Ambati Rambabu for 'harassing' women. They wanted the police officer to book criminal cases against Rambabu.
