Bangalore: The Police have arrested a security guard in south-east Bangalore for trying to rape a seven year old girl on Thursday, the polling day.
The girl is the daugther of parents who work as construction labourers, was playing with two others outside her home, when Raju allegedly lured her with a chocolate and took her away to a secluded place to rape her.
She started crying loudly and he allegedly let her go. Her parents were away after voting, as it was a holiday. She didn't inform her parents at first, but when they noticed bruises on her body in the morning, they got to know about it.
They, along with her neighbours, beat up the guard and later handed him over to the police.
