PARADIP: The Posco agitation has spread to villages of the State with the BJP inviting all its party members of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Puri districts for staging a demonstration at the collectorate here. Rajiv Gandhi Lawyers’ Forum president Susant Kanungo has threatened to stage a demonstration in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan from July 20 to protest the Posco project. The Saffron Party would continue its dharna, started on July 4, till July 8 at the Collectorate protesting the Posco project. Meanwhile, former minister and BJP leader Surma Padhi, former MP Archana Nayak, former MLA Baidhar Mallick and other BJP leaders sat on a dharna in protest. Susant Kanunugo has urged the Centre to cancel the forest clearance for the Posco project immediately or face their ire through protests.
