In my effort to understand the opposite sex...and complexities of relationships, I came across over a thousand articles where women were referred to more often as the the more...complex species'. That got me thinking... Are we really so difficult to understand? If so, what makes us that why?
In the initial days of your relationship with Mr. Perfect, everything feels so right. The sky appears to be more blue, the grass more green and even in the peak of summer's you sense a shiver down your spine. You might have had a bad hair day and your boss might have just fired you, but that one phone call from him or even a sms assuring you that he is thinking about you is enough to make you feel that this is the best day of your life. But the fairy tale lasts as long as you give him his freedom and space and not mention what exactly he means to you and how he makes you feel... and saying 'love you' don't even think of going there.
Has it ever happened that a woman go completely bananas over a guy she has just met, do all it takes to get his attention, go out on that dream date, tell him how she feels and run away for her life when he says he feels the same for her too, scared that he is getting a little bit too involved. Nah! That's not us.
Every man may fancy a hot leather-clad bombshell. But that girl as a girlfriend, 'you must be kidding, what's mom gonna say? One of the most commonly heard complaints men have against us is that, women are complete chickens...when it comes to making the first move and asking a guy out. But if we do, then we are branded as, 'too easy'. If you are the goody-goody kind of a girl, you have a problem too miss, as you may be categorized as dull or even boring. Maybe marriage material...but definitely do not qualify to be a girlfriend.
Men often complain that we never take any efforts to share their interests. "She doesn't like what I like". "She only watches fashion on TV and doesn't even try to understand sports"...the complaints are endless. But if you ever do make an effort then that's termed as interference.
Finding it difficult to commit yet impossible to resist, wanting things they can never have and never wanting what they do have. Still think women are the most complex of the species? Maybe not complex but definitely confused...

I must have been in my teens when I developed this obsession for books analysing relationships and understanding the opposite sex. John Grays..Men are from mars... and Allan & Barbara Peases', why men don't listen & women can't read maps...a few of my obvious favorites....I would have read Linda Goodman's Love Signs over a zillion times, hoping it will be the perfect guide to help me find my prince charming...and an end to all my problems...
