Budget merger: Rahul Gandhi Demands Modi Government to Come Up With 'Kisan Budget'
Rahul said that the 'Kisan Budget' will ensure that farmers get right prices for their crops.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday demanded the Narendra Modi government to come up with a 'Kisan Budget' to ensure farmers get the right price for their produce.

"I have heard the railway budget is being merged with the general budget. If this can be done, I would ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prepare 'Kisan budget'," he said at a Khaat Sabha in Ghatampur.

"The Kisan Budget will ensure that farmers get right prices for their crops, as they are not getting it now," he added.

Accusing the Centre of waiving off loans of industrialists but not of farmers, the Congress vice president said, "A Congress government's priority will be to waive off loans to farmers, because for us farmers and the youth are more important."

Attacking Modi, he said, "The Prime Minister had promised to provide employment to 2 crore youths. But I have come to know that in last two years only one lakh have got employment."

Gandhi assured that as an Opposition, Congress was executing its role responsibly.

Attacking the current and previous UP governments, he said, "When the Congress was at the Centre it sanctioned funds for different projects. I wonder where the funds have

disappeared."

Taking a dig at BSP, he alleged, "The BSP has indulged in corruption, moreover it has moved away from the ideologies on which Kanshi Ram had established it."

Alleging the SP cannot run without corruption, he questioned why the ministers, who were dropped from the Cabinet on corruption charges, were reinstated by Mulayam Singh Yadav.

"If the Congress forms government in Uttar Pradesh, it will order probe on works done by the SP and BSP," he assured.
