Candidates take conflicting stance

PIRAVOM: In a bid to avoid unwanted confusions, LDF candidate M J Jacob stayed away from entering polling booths, whereas UDF’s Anoop Jacob made it a point to be physically present inside a couple of polling stations. Talking to ‘Express’ at Kakoor, M J Jacob said that he did not want to create any issue by entering the booths. “I’m here to visit the party workers,” he said. However, Anoop, who was seen meeting party workers outside the polling stations since morning, also entered the booths and inquired about the progress of the polling.
