Agra: The government plans to set up centres for Hindi studies across the country with a view to promote the language, HRD Minister Smriti Irani said on Friday.
"There is a need for expansion and popularisation of Hindi and for this, new centres will be set up," she said at a function at the Central Hindi Institute here.
The minister said those contributing to the promotion of Hindi will also be given recognition.
