VELLORE: Yashini, a seventh grader of Arakonam, who was part of the state-level table tennis team, led her team to win the gold medal in the National Championship tournament held at Kochi recently.A student of Vivekananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Arakonam, she has been playing table tennis for the past four years with the help of the Mother Teresa Table Tennis Academy of Arakonam headed by P Janardhanam. The Tamil Nadu Table Tennis Association had selected Yashini and three more from Chennai - to represent the State in the championship under the cadet category that was held between December 8-13. Vice president of the TTTA Dr Chandramouli, was among those present to welcome her at Arakonam station.
