Panaji: The Goa unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is marching towards a landslide victory in the polls to the 70-member Delhi Assembly, today said that they are confident of repeating this feat in 2017 Goa elections.
"Definitely, the success of Delhi would be replicated in Goa during 2017 election. There is definitely a big boost for us (AAP in Goa). Till date, AAP had shown how elections are fought without spending money, now the party can show what will be people focused governance," AAP Goa Convenor Walmiki Naik said, soon after Delhi results.
He said that the party is already under 'mission vistar' mode which aims at widening the AAP base in the state. "We were written off after 2014 Lok Sabha polls. It is not about the party, it is about what we stand for. It is about the spirit of Aam Aadmi which you cannot write off under any circumstances. The voice of people is supreme," Naik said.
AAP's senior leader Joe Gomes said that Delhi has vindicated all allegations made against the party. "AAP stands a good chance of winning in Goa during 2017 polls," he said.
