BANGALORE: “OK, I am coward. I am ending my life,” this was the last message of Vishnu Sharan, first year PUC student who committed suicide on Metro tracks on Monday night, to his friend and classmate, a girl, who allegedly teased him often. Sources said nobody knows what happened between the two, but it ended in Vishnu ending his life. When Express visited Sharan’s house, his family members and relatives preferred to stay away from the media. However, some of his friends mentioned that Vishnu was depressed after a girl had annoyed him on many occasions. One of his friends, on the condition of anonymity, informed that the girl had completed her secondary education from Sophia school.“The girl had joined when we joined St Joseph’s College. He liked to stay alone and was known as a quiet boy in the class. Somehow the girl used to tease him whenever she got an opportunity. And he was very disturbed over it,” Vishnu Sharan’s friend alleged. It is said that his parents were aware about this issue. A neighbour said that about three months ago Vishnu Sharan himself had informed his parents about it. “He had told them that he was irritated with her attitude. His parents had asked him whether he wants to change the college but Sharan had told them that he would manage. And there was no update what happened after that,” a neighbour added. However, his parents are still not clear about the reason why their son took this drastic step. Meanwhile, the postmortem of Vishnu Sharan’s body was conducted at Bowring Hospital mortuary on Tuesday. The body was handed over to his family members. Later, last rites were performed.
