Drunk man sets wife ablaze, held

CHENNAI: A construction worker was arrested for allegedly setting his wife on fire at MGR Nagar on Thursday. Sources said, Rajesh alias Appu (28) often used to come home drunk and pick up quarrel with his wife Rekha (22), suspecting her fidelity.Six months ago, Rekha went back to her parent's house after a tiff with him and returned only after the intervention of their relatives. Following a similar quarrel on Thursday, Rajesh set Rekha afire. Both were rushed to the KMCH hospital with burns In her dying declaration, Rekha is said to have accused her husband of setting her afire.
