London: Elton John was the best man as model-actress Liz Hurley and Indian millionaire Arun Nayar went through another round of marriage rituals at the 15th century Sudeley castle in Gloucestershire on Saturday night amid tight security.

Saturday night's event was a highly traditional English wedding, with a choir and hymns, the local vicar and a four-course reception with a dress code of black tie.

Correspondents near the venue who managed to pick up bits of information remarked that the spectacle was similar to that depicted in British movie Four Weddings and a Funeral.

The couple and their star-studded guest list leave for Mumbai aboard a Virgin flight Sunday evening for yet another round of marriage rituals - this time according to Hindu religion, at the Umaid palace in Udaipur. The actual marriage took place in a civil ceremony on Friday evening.

Such was the security at the venue Saturday night that guests sworn to secrecy were not allowed to take in cameras.

The couple have signed a million-pound deal with the Hello! magazine, giving it exclusive rights to the event's coverage.

At the Saturday night ceremonies that included an Anglican service and a reception, the best man was Elton John, who sang.

Guests included Victoria Beckham and Donatella Versace. Throughout the last two days, guests and onlookers were trying to find out if actor Hugh Grant, Hurley's lover of 13 years, will also attend the ceremonies.

Despite rumours, however, he was not seen anywhere around Gloucestershire even as some villagers in Winchombe claimed to have seen Grant's car.

Grant's close friendship with Hurley is said to be one reason for his recent split from Jemima Khan, Pakistan cricket-turned-politician Imran Khan's ex-wife.

The couple also showed guests a Bollywood-style movie featuring themselves in the lead roles. The movie, which includes singing and dancing styles that are the hallmark of Indian films, was shot during their last trip to India.

The unnamed source said, "They made the film on their latest trip to India while they were finalising wedding plans. Liz and Arun sing and dance to traditional Indian songs, with the stunning backdrop of Mumbai in the distance."

Nayar wore traditional Indian clothing, including a turban, and even grew a beard for the part. Hurley looked stunning in a number of eye-catching saris, the source said.

"Elizabeth gets to act out her dream role, as it's a beautiful love story based on their own history.

"She wanted to create the ultimate Bollywood love story - and who better to base the film on than the love story of herself and Arun," the source added.
