Kathmandu: Four explosions rocked the famous tourist spot Pokhara in western Nepal injuring one person and damaging a senior police official's house on Tuesday, a day after Maoists called off their unilateral ceasefire.

The house of Deputy Superintendent of Police in Pokhara, Lal Bahadur Adhikari, was damaged in one of the explosions, police said, adding a civilian was also injured.

A Sub-metropolitan Corporation's office in Pokhara, 200 km west of the capital Kathmandu, was also a target in the blasts.

Police suspected Maoists' hand behind the explosions, which occurred a day after the Maoists announced an end to their four-month unilateral ceasefire blaming the Army for continued operations against them.

Meanwhile, Maoists allegedly looted cash and valuables from six motorcyclists in Nuwakot district, 25 km west of Kathmandu, on Monday, according to the National News Agency.
