New Delhi: Former Bollywood starlet and companion of mobster Abu Salem Monica Bedi, who was released on bail from a Hyderabad prison on Wednesday, reached her native village in Hoshiarpur district on Wednesday night, her first visit in nine years.
Bedi, who was held in connection with a fake passport case, left for her village Chhabewal in Punjab shortly after her release with her father Prem Kumar Bedi and uncle Purshottam.
The village is located on the Balachaur-Hoshiarpur highway in Punjab.
"I am very happy. I have got justice. I am very thankful to God. I want to spend some time with my family," Bedi said when she was let out of jail.
Bedi was finally allowed to walk free on Wednesday as the Supreme Court, on Monday, had cleared the way for her release.
She says that she has got many offers from Bollywood and Tollywood to act and she will take up some offers soon.
