Funeral of Geevarghese Mar Osthathios today

ALAPPUZHA: The funeral of Geevarghese Mar Osthathios, senior metropolitan of the Orthodox Church who passed away on Thursday, will be held at St Paul’s Mission Training Centre, Mavelikkara, near here, on Saturday. The body will be taken to St John’s Church, Pathichira, the parish church of Mar Osthathios, from Parumala Mar Gregorios church at 12 noon. Baselius Didimos I Bava and Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose II will be the chief celebrants of the entombment function.  A special tomb has been arranged in the compound of the St Paul’s chapel, Pulimood, for the funeral.
