BANGALORE:  Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily on Saturday called upon students “to be persistent and determined with a laser-like focus" on what they want to achieve.Delivering the ceremonial address at the 10th graduation ceremony of PES Educational Institutions in the city, he said, “India’s greatest strength as a home for technical education is our spirit of we-can-do and our ability to deal with any situation. We have demonstrated this ability in the recent launches of space vehicles and satellites.”He further suggested that India was the best place for indigenous technical graduates. “There is no better training ground for our engineers than India. If one can succeed in India, one can succeed anywhere in the world,” said Moily.Moily called upon students to pay back to the society, calling it their duty. “Go out, reach masses with care and compassion, conquer their hearts and mind with dedicated service and devotion,” he observed.Around 1,600 students received their diplomas, degrees and PhDs on the occasion.
